Born in Gunma, Japan, in 1977.
Tamura’s art career began from the early age of 15 when he started drawing Manga and soon signed a contract with the publisher Shūeisha.
In 2003 his first manga, Fudegami (JUMPCOMICS, Shūeisha) was published in a very popular monthly magazine called “Gekkan Shōnen Jump”.
After achieving success in his homecountry, Tamura also started to get international acclaim for his works. From 2011, he started exhibiting at Art Fairs worldwide and being invited to give guest lectures and workshops at various events and manga schools.
In 2014 he held a solo exhibition at Palazzo Medici-Riccardi in Florence and at the kyas art salon in amsterdam. In the same year, Tamura made a fruitful collaboration with the fashion brand “McQ Alexander McQueen” for the woman Autumn-Winter collection 2014.
A year later, in 2015 Tamura challenged himself by live painting huge murals at POW WOW JAPAN (Tennouzu Air) and at Angouleme International Manga Festival, France.
From 2016 Tamura started a collaboration project with a Ukrainian photographer Marfa Vasilieva. Through this project, called “Takamagahara”, he explored Manga bodypainting in combination with photography as an art form.
In 2017 Tamura participated to multiple solo expositions, in Shinjuku Takashimaya, Japan, as well as in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
IN 2018-2019 he went back to his origins anD workED on a manga titled “Devil’s Relics” written by Maitre Gims Darcy and JD Morvan released nationwide by Glenat in France.

2016年からウクライナの写真家Marfa Vasilievaとのコラボレーション「高天原プロジェクト」として、人体へのマンガ・ボディペイント作品も発表している。
2018-2019年、フランスGLENAT社でMAITRE GIMS・DARCY原作、JD MORVAN脚本のマンガ「DEVIL’s RELICS」作画を担当。フランス全土で発売された。
2017年及び2020年、新宿高島屋で絵画個展。2018年アムステルダム巡回展。2021年にはwinsor & newton社から"our featured artist"に選抜された。
