The TAKAMAGAHARA Project, a long-running collaboration between Japanese painter and manga artist TAMURA Yoshiyasu and Ukrainian photographer Marfa Vasilieva, will be featured in the Nakanojo Biennale 2025. The exhibition will run from September 13 to October 13, 2025, at the former Nakanojo Town Dai-san Elementary School in Nakanojo, Gunma Prefecture.

In conjunction with participation in the Nakanojo Biennale 2025, we are pleased to offer free, limited-time access to an essay written by TAMURA Yoshiyasu in 2023. This essay outlines the development and conceptual background of the TAKAMAGAHARA Project.
